Team Cochise - Public Safety Group

Short Term Goals

• To improve communications interoperability between Cochise County public safety agencies, consistent with State and Federal Homeland Security Directives.

• To continue our public safety emergency operation response plans within the county and municipal governments, consistent with the National Incident Management System.

• To improve information sharing activities between law enforcement entities that will enhance and coordinate criminal prosecution efforts in Cochise County.

• To develop new or enhance existing partnerships between public safety entities and community groups.

• To continue Federal, State, and local inter-agency training, focusing on the operational differences and capabilities of all Cochise County public safety agencies.

Long Term Goals

• To develop or improve mutual or automatic aid agreements between fire and EMS public safety providers.

• To develop a Cochise County consolidated communication and emergency operations center capable of interoperable communications between Federal, State, and local agencies.

• To construct a regional Police/Fire/EMS regional training facility in Cochise County.
