Short Term Goals

• Provide input to housing survey being conducted by the Affordable Housing Task Force

• Expand geographic sphere to include Huachuca City, Tombstone, Hereford and Palominas

• Identify a revenue source to replace the real property rental tax

• Implement an education campaign to emphasize reverse mortgages for seniors in order to keep them in homes they may already own and explore other programs available for seniors

Long Term Goals

• Advocate for additional code enforcement to improve quality of existing housing stock

• Design a new zoning district where single family units not permitted in a multi-family zone starting with State Trust Land

• Explore an enhanced use lease (EUL) with the Fort as a partnership for additional multi-family units, possibly on Kayetan Fort property.

• Explore changing City policy regarding prohibition of sewer lift/pump stations to allow for additional areas to be sewered

• Provide incentives for rehabbing older units

• Create a housing center, perhaps a branch of HACC to be located in Sierra Vista
